Prenatal Yoga
Yoga is ideal for women who are expecting. In pregnancy, one becomes ultra-aware of the body’s hormonal and physical changes, and through yoga one adapts to these changes more fluidly. Prenatal yoga is practiced at a slower pace as the hormone, Relaxin, is abundant throughout the body softening joints and ligaments for childbirth. Opening the muscles of the pelvis, reducing pressure on the ligaments, and easing lower back pain are a few of the benefits gained with regular prenatal practice. Best of all, the tools learned through yoga may help provide an easier birth.
