AUGUSTINE FRIZZELL
I started my yoga practice as a means of exercise. I was terribly bored with the gym and I'd heard about how great yoga was for staying in shape.
The first time I drove to the studio, my daughter and I came for the 8:30am class. I was nervous and missed the class because I sat in my car talking with her and stalling! We drove around and came back early for the 10am class. It was hot, confusing and physically very difficult but I was completely hooked! Every day after that class, I came back.
My entire life changed. People say that often in
regards to yoga and I couldn't agree more. I was able to handle challenges in my daily life with a new sense of peace, compassion and patience.
Eventually, I wanted to be able to share this with as many people as possible, so I decided to go through teacher training. I loved learning so much new information about my new found passion and started teaching even before completing my training.
Sharing this knowledge, this practice with my students is truly a joy and honor and I am grateful for each and every class. My teaching style is light hearted yet challenging. I love seeing people give it their all but also take breaks when things get to be too much.
You'll often see my daughter with me in class, she's still coming along and loving every minute of it!
